SWSU will host the ‘Startup Tour 2017’ in Kursk
Yesterday SWSU held a regional presentation session of the International Competition of innovative projects “Startup Tour 2017” for young scientists, innovators and developers of Kursk region.
“Startup Tour” is a great project of “Skolkovo” Foundation in Russia which is created to look for promising innovative start-up teams to start a project dealing with the implementation of high-tech projects: IT, biomedicine, energy, space and nuclear technology. The purpose of the tour is not only to find promising innovative solutions, but also to help young developers in making their own development strategies.
In March 2017 Kursk will become one of the cities where the «Startup Tour» will be held. The decision has been made due to the Internet voting for the name of "Startup Capital 2017", which resulted in the third place for Kursk. The base for such a grand event is Southwest State University. The university started to work with the foundation in 2011, when a student of the Faculty of Management and Innovation Ilya Komyagin passed selection in the Open University “Skolkovo”. In October 2015 it signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Fund “Skolkovo” and the Southwest State University. Now, young university researchers are involved in the “Skolkovo” events, seminars and workshops, as well as competitions.
At the presentation of young scientists session from Kursk and Zheleznogorsk the representatives of Functional Centre for Cooperation with the Fund “Skolkovo” spoke about how you can become a member of «Startup Tour», get into the Open University “Skolkovo”, what new features they will receive: financial and information support for their projects. Presentations of acceleration of the educational program of the School of design innovators “InnovShool” for young scientists of Kursk region, the future participants of «Startup Tour 2017" in Kursk. In addition, the participants were given certificates of “SkolkovoDay”.
- We hope that today, the guys got the impulse of innovative inspiration, which will help them not only to participate in, but to win the “Startup Tour”, - said the deputy director of the Center of Innovation and Business Engineering of SWSU Svetlana Zhuravleva.
