The Skolkovo Project “People Startup Village» and our scientists

On June 2-3, in the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center there will take place the most massive  international event in Russia in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship - Startup Village, organized by the Fund "Skolkovo".

Startup Village will be held in Moscow this year for the fourth time. The business and science programs will be organized around 11 sites and more than 120 panel discussions, roundtables, mentoring sessions and master classes. Development of young entrepreneurs will be presented at the traditional Startup Bazaar exhibition.

The guru of technological world will try to look into the future to see how technology will change the world in the near future. Managing Director of the World Economic Forum, Former Vice Chancellor and leader of the Free Democratic Party of Germany Philipp Rösler will arrive in the village of innovation, to talk about the fourth industrial revolution and meet with Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

Thanks to its innovative design Svetlana Gulyaev, participant of Skolkovo Open University, the International Centre for Technology Transfer Specialist (ITTC) SWSU and Vladimir Zhuravlev, Deputy Director of the ITTC, were invited to the Startup Village and became part of the "People of Startup Village» project. This means that their names will appear on the Wall of Honor, which the organizers specially erected at the site of the event in the innovation city.

At the same time the development team of SWSU will have the opportunity to hold a series of meetings with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs in high-tech business start-ups and developers. There will also be a series of meetings with representatives of the innovation center Skolkovo to discuss further cooperation.

It is expected that the participants of the event in the village of innovation this year will be more than 15 000 visitors from 20 countries, including the winners of the regional stages of start-up tour, the guru of high-tech businesses, investors, and government officials.
